Meet Anushka

I’m most fulfilled when I’m creating — be it designing, dancing, cooking, and above all, memories. I’m deeply energized by connection, in meeting new faces, learning people’s stories, and building something meaningful together.

Born and raised on Long Island, I’m a first-generation Indian-American and a graduate of NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where I studied Digital Culture with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. My background spans training as a pre-professional dancer, working in PR and distribution for independent cinema at Utopia, and most recently, serving as a Senior Market Strategy Analyst at Ipsos. Across performance, film, media, research, and photography, my work is guided by observation, social awareness, creative clarity, and community. I began shooting digitally in 2011 and picked up film in 2019, and a camera has rarely left my side since. In 2024, photographing people in love and the most intimate chapters of my clients’ lives became the greatest honor of mine.

Photography has been the most consistent creative thread in my life. My approach is rooted in honesty and feeling: capturing moments as they unfold, without force or pretense. I’m drawn to images that feel lived-in, emotionally charged, and true. I work with care and intuition — attentive when emotions rise, grounding when things feel uncertain, and fully present when the celebration unfolds. The trust and collaboration this work requires is something I hold with care and intention.

Empathy and humanity guide every interaction, on and off the camera.

I’m really happy you’re here; tell me a little bit about you & let’s work together!
